Training:
The regulations require that I keep training records. Does CHEMTREC help with that?
Yes. After passing the course, you will receive a certificate. You should print and save your certificate for your records. You may also log back in at any time to reprint your certificate for a period of three years from the date of course completion.
Please note – Hazmat employers are also responsible to retain a record of training for each hazmat employee and must make the record available upon request. This certificate meets the training record requirements outlined in 49 CFR § 172.704(d). CHEMTREC’s

How often are CHEMTREC’s Hazmat courses updated?
CHEMTREC’s hazmat courses are updated annually to bring content that aligns with the regulatory updates and changes of that calendar year. Please note, CHEMTREC will notify learners in advance of any updates so learners can plan accordingly to avoid losing course progress.
When do I receive my certificate?
After passing the final exam with an 80% or above and completion of the course survey, the certificate will generate and be stored within your training account.
How long will I have access to the course content?
Your course access will expire 365 days after date of purchase. Your certificate will remain stored in your account for a period of three years from the date of completion.
If I do not pass the test within three attempts and need to review the course, will I need to pay for the course again?
No. You will not need to pay again to retake the course. However, you will need to contact the
CHEMTREC Training Team
to reset your course. You will need to review the course materials again, before retaking the exam. You must pass within the 365 days from purchase, or you would have to repurchase the course.
I took CHEMTREC’s training but have left my employer. Do I still have access to my training records, and can I take more training?
Yes, you can still access your training records and yes, you can purchase additional hazmat training if needed. Please

to remove you from your previous employer's account and update your login email address.
Can I purchase the training courses in bulk?
You can purchase course codes in bulk to distribute to other users. Discounts are available for bulk course purchases over 10, if you would like to talk to someone about purchasing multiple training courses in large quantities, contact our

Can I purchase courses for other users?
Yes. To purchase courses for other users, please select the course you are interested in buying from the
catalog
. Once you’ve opened the course, click the “Purchasing for Others? Buy Codes!” button. This will take you to the course code page where you can enter the total number of course codes you are interested in purchasing, then add to cart. Once the order is complete, you will receive the list of course codes that you can distribute to each user for use on the respective course.
Are there prerequisites to any of your courses?
Yes, you must complete CHEMTREC’s Hazmat General, Safety and Security Awareness course or an equivalent course prior to taking the following courses: Ground Transportation 49 CFR Training for Shippers 49 CFR, Ground Transportation 49 CFR Training for Carriers, Dangerous Goods Training for Air Transportation, Shipping Lithium Batteries and Cells, and Shipping Dangerous Goods by Vessel.
We also recommend the Crisis Management 101: Principles and Solutions course before advancing to other Crisis Solutions eLearning courses.
Books, Toolkits & Templates:
What is the shipping time for the books?
The publications are shipped via FedEx and take approximately 7-10 business days.
What format are the toolkits and templates?
Our toolkits and templates are available in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Accompanying videos are hosted online.
Webinars:
How do I access the webinar I registered for?
Once you register for the webinar through our Teams Webinar registration page, you will receive a confirmation email with a “Add to Calendar” link included. You can access the webinar through the confirmation email by clicking “Join event” or through the calendar invite. Please note, the link will be disabled until the date of the webinar.
What web platform will you use for the webinar?
We use Microsoft Teams webinars feature for all CHEMTREC webinars.
Do I need a Teams account to access the webinar link?
No.
How do I access previous webinar recordings?
You can access previous webinar recordings through

. If you registered for a webinar, you will also receive an email after the webinar once the recording is live on the Webinar Recordings site.
